The probability of the image believed to be i, me, Doug, with a history, story and background as i believe i do, truly connecting in a forever relationship of acceptance, with the image, history, story and background you believe is you, is zero.
Every belief we hold substantiates and protects a separate, i-dentifiable i, me. Every belief we hold supports a wall encasing the image of i, me, in a facade of security and safety. We live there in fear of letting our guard down, of going anywhere near the possibility of freedom in real connection. We expect loss, fear, conflict, differences, eventual separation and yet fantasize about lasting happiness.
WHEN WILL i GET OUT OF my own WAY?
It is such a simple, obvious practice that embraces every moment of our perceived life experience. Here are some practical examples.
Consider or imagine one of these options …
- you have a room in your home that is a favourite - you have a garden space you always enjoy - you have a special place you go in nature - you just got into a vehicle with a family member - you met a new friend you hope to keep - you just encountered a person you dislike.
Whatever you chose, imagine yourself being there in body, form, and with your thoughts, sensations and emotions. Notice everything you can.
Now as you see yourself there experiencing, let go of every belief you have of your-self. See your-self absolutely empty of belief in being, doing, learning or knowing anything.
No belief in any thought, sensation, emotion, image, history, story, past and so no reference for judgement, opinion or difference.
In this moment let there be no i, me, i-dentity.
Let whatever seems to appear by ABSOLUTELY NEW AND UNKNOWN.
NOTICE WHAT IS PRESENT, HERE, WITHOUT “belief.” 💕
